Reflecting on my life

Iv kept a prayer journal/ spiritual diary since 2005 cuz sometimes I ask God for things and I forget to be grateful enough or I forget my state of mind or how troubled, needy, desperate I was when I prayed.

Anyways over the weekend I read everything iv written about 50 pages and believe me God has been faithful. Everything I have asked of him he has given me. In 2005 I wanted to have the best result in my academic history and he gave me all A’s and a GP of 5. I wanted to graduate with a certain CGPA and he made it possible, I wanted to pass my ACCA exam and I did, I wanted to get a job immediately after skl and I got it, my NYSC year he took control of all the impromptu and numerous travellings, my boyfriends issues he resolved, our finances at home he has taken care of, my brothers admission has been settled and the list goes on and on. GOD HAS BEEN GOOD TO ME. I luv u Jesus.

Pls people tell me what can I do to my hair? Its light, its short. I have stunted hair growth. Because of the nature of the hair I never leave it unmade, always on braids or weaveon which doesn’t help matters I know, last wk I was so irritated I chopped the thing into half with scissors all by myself to give it sharp ends. I wish I could cut it all off, but am so scared it wont grow back. Maybe I should let the relaxed part fall of then carry it natural. Am so fed up

awww, that's a great thing, a spiritual journal.

God always answers us. writing things down is a good way to remember the things he does for us.

i think cutting ur hair is a good idea. start all over, and let it breathe more. eat more veggies and ish...

u can actually also pray about it, it's silly, but God answers even our silliest requests.

@Smaragd thanx maybe il pray bout it
@Afro; babes does locking grow hair? if it does i'l do it

locking hair does not really help hair grow, but being that you dont have to do a lot to it, it will grow out before u know it.

Besides it cost less to keep dreads.

God is always there for us, if only we ask him for help. Your answered prayers shows just that!

Thank God for all ur blessings.

I think u should try to wear ur hair naturally. Start by now longer perming it, then chooping off the ends as it grows. You can wear it in braids while this is happening.

You might like ur natural hair better. I don't know why girls in naija associate natural hair with deeper life. If only my hair wasn't as strong as olumo rock, i wouldn't perm it.

u may be stressing out your hair or expecting too much from it

i think u may cut it
let it grow then ask for expert advice on maintaining it
but then again

hair is hereditary-i think.....

so what is the trend amongst the people you share genes with?????????

you can do straw curls in naija. just set your hair with straws, but instead of horizontally, part it vertically, and wrap the hair along the length of the straw. it'll look short at first, but as the style ages, your hair'll look fuller!

Thats a good idea (keeping a prayer journal) I should definitely start one too. Sometimes we forget to be thankful when God has been kind to us.

Spiritual journal, great idea. I think locking ur hair wld help, its either the relaxer or the constant braiding that messes with our hair. my hair grew the longest and fullest when it was natural/dreads.

Sometimes we have to strive for perfection in our lives...to be Godlier. Is your relationship with boo, friends or family according to God's commands? Think again!

Thank God for his mercies!

wow it's really nice that God has been good to you, and better yet that your grateful.

@ the hair. girl ive cut my hair 2ce. well actually 2 boys short, i relaxer short.

if you have african/ african american hair. I would advice you to look into Aphoghee hair treatment. it helps strengthen the hair, but u have to follow the instructions because it can dry the hair a lot, and use the steps afterwards. also avoid bonding glue.

If you have a good hairstylist, they could help out! or just cut it and let it grow!

I'm with Afrobabe and Toluwa. Locking might be a good idea. It's low maintenance and helps hair grow. Give it a try, maybe?

I love the Spiritual journal idea.I will try and pick that up again!
wishing u a blissfull xmas!

And for your hair, ther eare som many lovely things u cna do with short hair, dread likes some peole have suggested and short curls, but if u really want it long, its also something u can add to your prayer journal too, i remember i used to pray about my hair when I was in the university,...and God answered me ( I also know I did a little like change my hair dresser)
Now I remember vividly(some years ago), how excited i was the night I could pack my hair, full and long and thanking God for answered prayers!
