Help

They say an elder does not learn to use left hand in his old age…yea whateva that means. I need help trying to stop some bad habits such as

Being scattered (My mum says no man would put up with this) – am not dirty (cant stand dirt) but am scattered. My wardrobe is upside down, even when I fold them stuff..i always upturn everything when am looking for what to wear

My room is disorganized, I have books, shoes, stuff generally…everywhere

Even my car booth is disorganized

Also I need help with nail biting – cant seem to beat this

Impatience – this is not even a habit….its a terrible vice

Being undecided – or should I say finding it hard to make decisions and sticking by them. Especially when it has to do with change

hmmmm

i was once in this dilema in fact i am not totally out of it.

These are my ideas:

1. Vision your room/car boot/whatever else needs to be organised in it's perfect state and imagine you're trying to achieve it. This may serve as motivation. several visits to my neigbhours impeccable flat guilted me into striving towards this!!!

2. Get help- see if you can get some assistance from a friend, sister, maid etc You cannot do it all alone

3. Take baby steps i.e one layer of the wardrobe after the other, one section of your room etc

4. declutter

5. take a picture of the current state, put it on your blog and as you begin to clean put up pictures of how it's turning out. Contstantly looking at it may help you stick with it...

Hope these help

i dare say your impatience is the reason why you have clutter

used to be a mess b4 i moved into my won place. I guess cos of the space, am better wit clutter. Maybe when u do the same, it might work for u. the idea of people coming into ur apt and seeing that way might motivate u.

I bite my nails too, and still cant stop that...i even do it at work..BAD! I also bite on my lip, another one, so i guess we in the same boat on that one.

I am impatient, but i try fidgetting or finding sumtin to do while waiting. I think i have taken over driving from a friend cos she was driving to slow for me...lol!

As the main problem according to mom is 'the man'

I was initially going to suggest..
- Make sure he gets you a maid for your room and a gateman to sort out the car!
- Make sure he pays for some expensive manicures.. so when you think of the money you'll be too shy to bite.
- Let him make the decisions.. That way you can blame him when it all goes up the wall.

But then I read fluffycutething & ibiluv.. So I'll just say listen to them.. :)

Don’t try too hard.
Like you said, you are not dirty.

You & your husband will just have to use separate cupboards.

Try arranging things in your own "scattered-arranged" way. It doesn’t have to be perfect but as long as its arranged to you that’s good.

Dont worry that's why we compliment each other. Your must be organised so both of you can learn from each other.. but I am sure you can make conscious effort on this

I'm the exact opposite i think, i just can't stand a disordanised room/space

I think you should consciously start to declutter, take out things you don't need and try to have a timetable for tidying your space...i wonder if this wil help!

Me thinks fluffy said it all.
Visualize what you want and work in small steps.

-I'd say patience would help you out a bit as well.
Good luck

I used to be very disorganized myself but these days I try realy hard to put specific things in specific places.

Try, u can overcome it.

Being messy is a woman thing. Most women are messy. Totally different to being dirty.
